We were a party of 10 (5 adults, 5 kids) and the chalet layout was perfect – 4 double rooms and a large kid bunk room. Was a comfortable and beautiful place to stay while exploring the area. So many activities in the area in the summer!
We hiked nearby trails, and did some road trips to mineral baths and the Atlesch glacier. Highly recommend the very helpful staff in the Thyon Collons tourist information office, just a 5 mins walk up the hill from the chalet in the town. They loaded us up with maps, local knowledge, and advice. We booked a foraging tour through them which was excellent, A guide, Etienne, walked with us through the alps, as we identified plants, picked edible ones, and then met up a local woman from a nearby hotel who brought meat, cheese and bread and we made a meal. Overall a very memorable and enjoyable vacation.
